Robe's ROBIN International Roadshow hit the US for its first North American session during the LDI (Lighting Design International) 2010 exhibition in Las Vegas.

Having so many lighting industry professionals gathering together at the same time in one place was an opportunity not to be missed, and there was a high take up for the presentations which were run by Robe's technical support manager Ales Grivac, and organised by the Robe lighting Inc team of David Chesal, Jerry Seay and Luis Ortiz.

The presentation showcased all fixtures in the new ROBIN range -  the ROBIN 600 and 300 LED Wash and the ROBIN 600 Series Spot, Wash & Beam, along with the ROBIN 300 Series Plasma Spot and Wash - plus CitySkape 48 and 96 LED wash units, the CitySkape Xtreme and the new CityFlex 48 product, along with the ever popular DigitalSpot 7000 and 3000DTs.

The sessions took place in a separate room adjacent to the main exhibition hall in the Las Vegas Convention Centre, giving visitors and interested parties a close up look at the new range and the chance for an in-depth Q&A.

Up to 4 sessions a day were run, including some in Spanish, and additional private viewings were also arranged.

People attending included a good selection of designers, programmers and operators from the live events, theatre and television sectors, together with rental company representatives, installers and venue operators and managers.

Once again, the LEDWash 600 generated great excitement and interest , just as it has in all the Roadshows to date, a strong indication that this unique product is going to be a major success for Robe. All were impressed with the brightness and quality of the output, the 3 individually controllable concentric LED rings, the versatile 15 - 60 degree zoom and the real white plus all the different colour temperature variations.

The Robin 300 Series was of interest for those involved in small to medium applications - from installations like bars and restaurants to live music clubs and stages where space is at a premium.

This was just the first of several other ROBIN Roadshows currently being planned to cover different regions of the US.
