Robe MMX’s for Art-Festival

Art-Festival specialises in lighting high profile fashion shows and corporate events, and has been keen Robe users for the last six years. They already have a large stock of fixtures including ColorWash and Spot 250, 575 and 1200s.

This latest investment ensures that they keep up with the latest technology from Robe. Several features impressed them about the MMX Spot, including the light output, the compact size and the massive versatility and multi-functionality.

The new lights were delivered just in time to go out on a series of New Year events, including a prestigious party and gala dinner for the exhibition company Expoforum, staged at the Lenexpo Exhibition Centre where they are based, for 250 key guests and VIPs.

Lighting was designed by Art-Festival’s Kirill Korobov, company owner and the main producer and creative force behind all their shows. It was the first time he’d used the MMXs ‘in situ’, and was “Completely blown away” by the fixtures when in operation.

He used them for a selection of effects including gobo projections onto the tables that were positioned all around the auditorium, as well as to light various different performers who appeared onstage throughout the evening.

Kirill used the MMXs to create a bright, festive atmosphere in what is normally a standard  exhibition hall space, and comments that he was able to produce many WOW factors and a great sense of spectacle far easier than he can ever recall doing with any other lighting fixture!

He confirms that the MMXs will now be used on all Art-Festival’s shows requiring high impact and powerful yet compact lightsources.
