South Africa based television lighting specialist Blond Productions supplies technical production for a slew of popular reality TV shows which have included several iterations of Big Brother over the years. There was much anticipation this year when the South African version – Big Brother Mzansi – returned for the first time since 2016 produced by Red Pepper and broadcast on Mzansi Magic.

Robe Rocks at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025

Robe was thrilled to be an official technical partner of Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, where lighting designer Tim Routledge and his team, together with London UK-based lighting supplier Neg Earth Lights, helped deliver a truly outstanding production for the world’s largest live music broadcast event, staged this year at the St. Jakobshalle arena by Swiss host broadcaster SRG SSR, co-ordinated by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union).

Robe Has Time for Slovenian Eurovision

All lighting designers love challenges and none more so than Crt Birsa from design studio Blackout, who fitted nearly 400 lighting fixtures into a 20 x 20 metre space in Studio 1 at the Slovenian National television station – Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTVSLO) – complex in Ljubljana.

Robe Helps New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash Go Large

Nashville – well known as a vibrant and major hub for the production and live entertainment industry – staged its own superlative concert – “Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” – at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park to celebrate the new year rollover, featuring an impressive artist lineup and an eye-popping lighting and production design created by Robert W.
