Lighting designer Manuel da Costa used Robe's most powerful series of moving lights – ColorSpot, ColorWash and ColorBeam 2500E ATs – as key fixtures on his rig for the latest series of German Idol (Deutschland sucht den Superstar). This was recorded in Studios 30/31 at the Coloneum complex in Koln and broadcast live on national TV channel RTL in a prime time Saturday night slot.

Robe is Just the Ticket

The launch season of new Romanian TV talent show The Ticket premiered in September and is being recorded at Castel Studios just outside Bucharest. It is produced by Imagic and Antena 1 and lit by lighting designer / DoP Dan Andrei and lighting director Marius Matyas, using a large Robe moving light rig, which is owned by the Antena TV Group.

Robe T2 Profiles are Special

Lighting designer Marc Janowitz has enjoyed utilizing the power and versatility of Robe’s T2 Profile luminaire on several recent projects, including Trey Anastasio’s 2025 solo acoustic tour and two high-profile HBO specials – Brett Goldstein's “The Second Best Night of Your Life” debut stand-up special at the Bergen PAC (Performing Arts Center) in New Jersey, and Marc Maron’s “Panicked”, which was staged at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM)’s Harvey Theater.

Robe Rocks at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025

Robe was thrilled to be an official technical partner of Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, where lighting designer Tim Routledge and his team, together with London UK-based lighting supplier Neg Earth Lights, helped deliver a truly outstanding production for the world’s largest live music broadcast event, staged this year at the St. Jakobshalle arena by Swiss host broadcaster SRG SSR, co-ordinated by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union).

Robe Has Time for Slovenian Eurovision

All lighting designers love challenges and none more so than Crt Birsa from design studio Blackout, who fitted nearly 400 lighting fixtures into a 20 x 20 metre space in Studio 1 at the Slovenian National television station – Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTVSLO) – complex in Ljubljana.
