Robe helps Redefine the Look for Idols SA

Idols South Africa 2021 underwent its most substantial visual transformation for a few years with a shift of venue, from the State Theatre in Pretoria to Studio 10 at the Urban Brew complex in Johannesburg. This moment was seized by the show’s long term lighting designer Joshua Cutts of Visual Frontier, for a radical re-think, and for the first time in 17 Idols seasons, he presented a lighting co-design created collaboratively with Andre Siebrits, also from Visual Frontier.

Legendary UK live music venue, Rock City in Nottingham, boosted its house lighting rig for October this year – a busy period including some lively university Freshers Week events – with a rig of 60 Robe moving lights, with extras supplied via rental and production company Zeal.

Talented US rapper ИF toured his Clouds (The Mixtape) album in October with a raw and stylish production design created by Chris Denholm (also musical director) and Clay Joiner (also lighting designer) … tuning in to the artist’s big presence, smart words and intimate one-to-one live performance bond with his fans – shouting out to the world whilst communicating to every individual in the room!
